Trip to Dajipur Backwaters - Land of the Indian Bison ⛺🚩🚩🚗
In December we travelled to my wife's home town which is one of the yearly ritual that we follow. This also allows me to take breaks from my work and focus on family and travel. What to do over the weekend was the question and we sequentially planned 2 trips, one being the backwaters of Dajipur and the next day we were to go to Vijaydurg and Malvan.
Dajipur, located in the Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary area, Maharashtra is a natural World Heritage Site notified by UNESCO as Sahyadri sub cluster of Western Ghats. The sanctuary is located between 16°10" to 16°30" north latitude and 73°52" to 74°14" east longitude. The Krishna River tributaries, Bhogavati River, Dudhganga River, Tulshi River, Kallamma River and Dirba River flow through the sanctuary's area.[1] State Highway 116 passes through the center of the sanctuary. It is located in Sahyadri hill ranges. The total area of the sanctuary is 351 km2 (136 sq mi) as per Wiki.
On the 27th of December post breakfast we started our journey towards Dajipur. This time I had planned and brought out my drone to take some videos and try out the flying experience of the drone. As a amateur I had bought a NOT NABHYAN PRO 2.0.

The roads twist and turn and someone who loves driving will enjoy this route and driving experience.
You go through a lot of natural umbrellas covered by trees and forest and these visuals though captured through a camera lens show a different experience altogether.
We reached the backwaters at around 5pm IST and then we decided to stop a a spot which was family friendly and the vehicle would go till the edge of the waters.
The sun was starting to set and it was beyond the mountains that covered the sanctuary. The visuals it provided were superb.
We started our return journey back to home at 6.15pm IST as it was getting dark pretty quickly and the road gets lonely as this is a sanctuary.
We returned home by 10pm and had our dinner at a restaurant near our place. Overall a nice short trip to visually enjoy the drive.
